XPLadmin The primary strength of the XPLview application framework is EGL’s administration utility (XPLadmin) for the configuration of our sites. This allows the clients to take care of the day to day maintenance of the application via the use of a simple user interface. This utility enables the user to modify layer names, alias field names, add new layers, add or remove core tools etc. An additional strength of these solutions is EGL’s ability to integrate this framework with other systems within each organisation such as document management systems, property systems etc. XPLadmin users don’t necessarily need to be experienced GIS staff. The users just need to have an appreciation and understanding of the application itself and the associated concepts for the delivery of the data. Once this is acquired and initial walk through of the interface the user will be ready to perform day to day maintenance upon the associated sites without the assistance from external consultants.
